you've got monk-e-mail

The careerbuilder.com spots are some of the funniest ads I’ve seen recently. Monk-e-mail, a viral extension of the campaign, allows you to create and send your emails with an animated monkey delivering your message. It’s the kind of silly diversion I love and great viral marketing for careerbuilder.com and Oddcast. (via Micro Persuasion)

Earlier today, Buzz Machine blogger, Jeff Jarvis posted a quote that the notion of “brand relationships” is overdone. So true. Which is why I like the way careerbuilder.com has developed their brand. Is there anyone out there that can’t identify with the hapless human in those spots? The campaign demonstrates to you that careerbuilder.com ‘gets it’, they make you smile, and they help you find a job. That’s a relationship worth cultivating, don't you agree?
